Off the Hook! Events and Adventures
We have a problem.
Our Strategic Boot Camp members are getting in GREAT physical shape, have energy to spare and want to take their physicality outside of the gym! Pretty good problem to have. But herein lies our issue: Many of our athletes would like to train for events, but don’t know how, and don’t want to do it alone. We are listening. Here’s what we can do for you. Strategic Boot Camps and Off the Hook! run on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday sequence. All those interested in training for specific events in the community such as: MS bike rides Duathlons (Bike and Run) Adventure Racing 5K, 10K, 15K events 1/2 Marathons Full marathons will be welcome to do extra cross training with Strategic Wellness leadership on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Our cross training days consist of swimming, running, biking or some combination of these activities depending on what events are upcoming. The location will vary from day to day, so it is imperative that you keep abreast of our schedule through the Strategic Boot Camp program or via e-mail. Our Saturday trainings are a join venture with the Lakeland Galloway Running Group. There is a modest annual fee to join this group. The Jeff Galloway Program officially runs from June through February, but tends to host runs year round as these Saturday morning runs and social time become addictive! Guests are welcome to run with us 3-4 times before joining. Each runner must have signed a release before participation. The Galloway Running Group typically meets at the Starbucks at Lake Miriam Publix shopping plaza at 6 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Events and Adventures is voluntary and is designed to support you in your efforts to: “Take it to the Streets!” It is totally up to you what events you choose to train for.
